STAGE DOOR Blog: Comments
Comments: To start with some things i noticed while going reading through this blog was probably the most noticeable "it was in Spanish" fortunately i was able to translate the whole page without any issues because of a feature on my computer. With that aside i watched the second, third, and fourth videos that are posted on the blog. Starting with the first song i listened to "Meet me in St.Louis" I must say that i enjoyed this song, not so much because its my taste in music, but more so that it was quick tempo and you could visibly see the performers changing from scene to scene, and song to song. This added a energy to the video that i must say the others did not.
Comments: For the second video "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas." this was a change of pace versus Meet e in St.Louis. Even though i read through the blog, i still was taken back by the Christmas music. Audra McDonald truly does have an amazing voice. That mixed with the fact that it was a solo performance really makes you focus on her. While i don't want to take anything away from the orchestra that was playing along side of her, she really was the main focus in the song, and she performed amazingly.
Comments: Michael Buble Singing "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" was my favorite of the three. Sure Audra Mcdonald is truly an amazing singer. However, right of the start of the song with Michael, you can tell just how exited the crowd is to hear him sing this song. Both singers are impressive, but one seemed to truly get the crowd exited about his performance. Also a key difference of the two performances is the music in the background, not a huge change, but more of little changes between the two made me enjoys Michael's performance more. For example, in Audras performance she was the main focus. While in Michael's performance, it was a mix between him singing and the orchestra.
