The Feel Good Final! There is a lot of negativity in the world. I cant lie and say that the world is a perfect wonderland of kind people. However, when i first started college at Quinnipiac university in Connecticut. I was was put with seven other guys in a dorm, and all seven of these guys were very negative about anything, and never had anything nice to say. A year later, im at the University of Tampa. This was such a huge change for me. Not just because its seventy degrees everyday and always sunny. No, the biggest part that changed for me was the people around me. My roommates and my close friends here have been truly amazing to me. I wanted to spread this love and positivist to more than just my small group of friends. I did this by going around the campus on one of the move in days for new and some returning students. I walked around the campus while my friend Richard filmed me, and we simply complemented people. Telling them that they are awesome, or beautiful, even simply a
Daft Punk! When i think Daft Punk, i don't think of a house influencers. I realistically think about things that they have done music for. Most of their music has an electronic and dubstep feel. I still remember seeing them in tron when i was little. Something about the custom helmets to keep their identity secret really got me interested. I remember when i was little i would google images of them to see if i could actually get a look at their face. Not that i think they would be some super human or anything like that. More so that i just wanted to know, to know. Daft Punk "One More Time" was one of their first videos they posted and really helped start what would later become a huge career in music.

High Five! Starting out was the hardest part of this project for me. I really had a hard time thinking about how i would put my own spin on it. I found that faces were really creepy no matter how hard i tried to make them not creepy. However, while i was doing a scan of my hand i thought of high fiving my copied hand. Then that's when i decided that i was going to make the words high five out of hands. The project ended up being roughly 6 feel long and 4 feet high. I had to stand on a chair to actually get the whole thing in frame. Materials: Copier, paper, Exacto knife, glue, and a cutting board.

The 10x10 that wasn't 10x10. The original idea for the project was to take an image and then reduce the size of it to a 10x10 pixel photo. The problem that i learned really quickly is that its hard to actually convey an image with only a 100 pixels. I originally started with an image of the Mona Lisa, i used colored pencils to fill in my grid. The issue that i didn't realize until i was actually done was that i had not drawn hard enough, and because of it, it was hard to see the image. I quickly decided that i did not like the Drawing, and started over. I chose the Lebron James logo, who is the greatest basketball player of my generation. While this logo was much bigger than 10x10. I enjoyed working on it more, and i also think it ended up much cleaner than my original piece. I am posting both the pieces that i created so that way you can see where i started to were i finished. Materials: Black and Blue copic markers, Pencil, Ruler, Bristol board paper Lebron James Logo:
Johnathan Dean Prof. Perkins WI_19_ART+TECH Aeneas and Dido 1/10/2019 Aeneas and Dido When I watched Dido and Aeneas for the first time, its easy enough to say that I was mistaken by a few things. While it is true that this is a short opera and there are only three major parts in the opera. There is plenty going on. Right from the first scene you can see that Dido “Queen of Carthage” is having some personal torment in a way. The people that are with her, who I can only assume are her “workers” for lack of a better term, are also aware that she is facing torment. You quickly learn of Aeneas “The Trojan Hero.” Dido is in love with Aeneas. At first, I thought that this would be simple love story, In the first fifteen minutes of the film it seems as though they had just had a ceremony to get married. While this ceremony is happening, the workers are singing to Aeneas about how Dido has a fire in her eyes and how she has been struck by cupids’ arrow. While I’ve never been a
In my stop motion i wanted to focus on creating a visual representation of something that you would normally see in the span of years rather than just fifteen seconds. I did this by by showing a simplified version of a tree growing. For my setup i took a box and cut a hole in it so that way i could lay my phone on top and use it as a tripod. Supplies- green paper, protein powder, copy paper, tape, cardboard box, phone
Smart Phones When you think of the world and how it is today, you really cant go anywhere without using, or seeing a phone of some kind. Why is that? Well to answer that we will need a brief history lesson on how phones came to be, and how they got to the point that they are at now. Robert Hooke, the guy that started it all. Robert created the first acoustic telephone in 1672. The acoustic telephone was very similar to two cups with wire between them. Very similar to something you might have made as a kid. This was the spark that started the fire that is modern telephones. This idea would be turned up a notch 166 years later, in 1838, Samuel B. Morse discovered what we now know as mores code. A series of dots and dashes that could be used to make out letters and then turned into words and sentences. This would be used for many things, but more specifically it would be used by the military to send secret messages to allies during the war time.  Jumping forward in time to a huge leap
